Bruce P. Blackshaw is a PhD candidate at the University of Birmingham. His academic background includes degrees in mathematics and physics, computer science, and philosophy. He has published extensively in journals such as Bioethics, the Journal of Medical Ethics, Medicine, Health Care and Philosophy, BMC Medical Ethics and The New Bioethics. He has also presented his work at numerous international bioethics conferences. Bruce’s research interests in bioethics include reproductive ethics, personal identity, conscientious objection in medicine, and euthanasia. He has additional interests in the philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and information ethics.
